CEO
As a CEO of Z-Coms, Molefe participated in a number of the
company’s ICT projects. These include the development of Mnet’s
Digital Television Technology Strategy, ICASA’s Sports Rights
Acquisition Inquiry, Feasibility of Regional Television,
Feasibility Study for Subscription Television Licensing,
Re-conceptualisation of the Universal Service Fund, Evaluation
of SITA’s Government Common Core Network (GCCN) and the Niche
ICT Electronic Market Research.
In 1989, Molefe graduated with BSc Engineering (Electrical and
Electronic) from the University of Cape Town. He completed a
Master of Business Leadership degree at UNISA School of Business
Leadership in 2004. In 2001 Molefe completed the New Managers
Programme at the University of Witwatersrand. He attended a
Radio/Network Training and a Workshop on Digital Broadcasting in
SA (1999/2001). He was employed by Uthingo Management (Pty) Ltd
as a regional field service manager between 09/1999 and 05/2001
where he was responsible for the field service work in
Mpumalanga and a portion of the Northern Province. He supervised
the installation and maintenance of National Lottery terminal
and radio equipment. He was employed by BMW SA as a technical
training consultant and later as a coordinator of the
implementation of interactive satellite training system
throughout the BMW dealer network. He was employed by Lever Bros
(Pty) Ltd from May 1992 to September 1994 as an Electrical
Projects Engineer. He designed factory electrical reticulation
systems, prepared project proposals and tender documents, was
responsible for the appointment/recommendation of contractor and
on-site supervision. Everitt & Germishuizen Consulting Engineers
employed him from January 1990 to April 1992 as a trainee
engineer. He designed LV and MV township electrical
reticulation, prepared tender documents, drawings, and control
of project for completion within budget and on time. He acted as
liaison between client and contractor.
